The 3S Koblenz Rhine Cable Car is a modern cable car that runs over the Rhine and connects the two districts of Koblenz and Ehrenbreitstein. The cable car was opened in 2010 and has been a popular tourist attraction ever since. The Rhine cable car has the highest transport capacity per hour of any cable car in Germany. The cable car has a total length of 890 meters and overcomes a height difference of 112 meters. The ride takes about five minutes and offers an impressive view of the Rhine, the city of Koblenz and the surrounding countryside. The modern cabins can accommodate up to 35 people, who can sit comfortably and enjoy the ride. The cable car is barrier-free and therefore suitable for all visitors. The 3S Koblenz Rhine cable car is not only an attraction for tourists, but also an important part of the public transport system in Koblenz. It connects the Koblenz Stadt train station with Ehrenbreitstein, making the daily commute to work or school easier for residents of the two districts.
