INTEGRA ropes are lock-coil track ropes with optional integration of conductors or fibre-optics (INTEGRA DATA). Fully and half locked coil ropes are created by roping together inner layers of round wire and exterior layers of profile wire. The latter for an absolutely torque-relieved rope in twisted design. As the first rope manufacturer, Fatzer has developed an innovative method for the integration of telecommunication, electronic and fiberglass cables into the core of the rope, hence revolutionising the history of ropeways. The technology of the transmission of digital and analog information through a rope saves radio beam antennae and separate telephone and optical cables. Additional wires, signal and control cables as well as maintenance work are a thing of the past.
